Latest update of Huawei Watch Fit adds the lock screen password and call rejection feature [Global]



Huawei’s first rectangular smartwatch, Huawei Watch Fit starts receiving a new firmware update in the global market. This update mainly brings two very important features that enhance the user experience.

Along with the new design, the Huawei Watch Fit comes with a virtual personal trainer, that allows users to exercise anytime and anywhere. Additionally, it also supports 12 professional workout modes, 96 free workout modes, health monitoring functions, and more.

According to the information, this stylish smartwatch users can upgrade their devices to the latest version of with an update size of 15.03MB. However, this update is already rolled out in the Chinese market last month and now expanding in the overseas market.

New Changelog details:

According to the changelog, the latest firmware version added a new lock password feature for further improvements for the device security improvements and support incoming call rejections using text.

To be mentioned, this feature is only supported by Android devices and required you to run the Huawei Health app with the latest version.


  1. For a better user experience, you are advised to update the Huawei Health app to the latest version.
  2. Keep Bluetooth connected during the update. If the update fails, try again.
  3. Updating the wearable device may take some time. Please wait for the progress bar on the device to complete. The device will automatically restart after the update is complete.
  4. Keep your wearable sufficiently charged before initiating the upgrade process.


Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.
