Monthly and Quarterly: February 2021 Huawei EMUI and Magic UI devices [List]

In September 2020, Huawei launched the new version of its self-developed distributing operating system, HarmonyOS 2.0 AKA Hongmeng OS 2.0. Moving forward, the company released the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta developer version in December 2020.

At the same time, Huawei began enrollment of Huawei P30, P30 Pro,  Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and MatePad Pro devices for HarmonyOS 2.0 beta in the home and the global market. However, these devices already received the first beta version in China.

It was reported that Huawei is planning to shift its all existing and upcoming lineup on HarmonyOS in 2021. However, the official announcement and timeline yet to come.

Aside from this, Huawei almost completed the EMUI 11 beta testing program in China. Meanwhile, the global eligible smartphone is still under-development. According to the EMUI 11 official rollout map, the company will conclude the beta program and deliver a stable update in the first quarter of 2021.

Other than major rollout, for further security improvements, Huawei released the latest February 2021 security patch for the devices. The latest security patches fix 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs that enhance system security.
