On December 16, 2020, Huawei launched the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile beta for developers and started its journey to bring this new mobile operating system into smartphones as well as other devices in the Huawei smart ecosystem.

Also, a developer has shared a video on Weibo, showing HarmonyOS 2.0 packed into the Huawei P40. According to the video, the user interface (including home screen and menus) of the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile beta is similar to the EMUI 11 but the user experience of HarmonyOS 2.0 seems smoother than the EMUI.

Also, the About menu section of the smartphone shows information about HarmonyOS along with kernel details and software version.

Due to the beta development, Huawei may have chosen to test the software capabilities with EMUI 11 user interface and may bring new UI/UX with the stable release of HarmonyOS 2.0 in smartphones in 2021.

We’ll get you more inputs, in the meantime, enjoy the video linked below.
