Huawei Pura 70 Ultra teardown shows advanced Kirin 9010 chip details

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra packs numerous high-end features and to uncoil its mysterious components, TechInsights conducted a teardown for the flagship model. This process ultimately confirmed that the Pura 70 Ultra is running on the Kirin 9010 processor.

Even though Huawei has not officially promoted the brand-new Kirin 9010 chipset, the mobile information app revealed that the high-end models of the Pura 70 series – Pro and Ultra use the respective processor with a 12-core structure.

Now TechInsights has performed a teardown of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra to check out its internal components. Exploring the processor, the firm found that the Chinese tech maker has used the latest version of Kirin chips for the new smartphone.

Kirin 9010 is the successor of the Kirin 9000s, made by SMIC. The firm has fabricated it on the enhanced 7nm N+2 process technology, to offer better 5G capabilities.

The disassembly also shows an outstanding trait of the Pura 70 Ultra – memory configuration. Next, the innovative camera system with high-fy and super-advanced optics indicates that Huawei has mastered the phone photography segment.

Satellite connectivity is another vital segment that runs on China’s Tiantong-1 satellite system for call facilities in no-network conditions and Beidou SMS services for sending and receiving texts or image messages when out of network.

Pura 70 Ultra:

The device features a 6.8-inch OLED panel which is attached to basalt-tempered Kunlun glass with 10x drop and scratch resistance, offering better durability.

It packs a 5200mAh cell with a charging capacity of 100W. It supports 80W wireless as well as 20W reverse wireless charging to charge other devices with it.

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra features a 50MP 1-inch retractable main shooter (f/1.6-f/4.0 aperture) with anti-shake facility, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), and a 50MP macro telephoto camera (f/2.1, OIS) with AF (autofocus) for clear and vibrant close-up shots. While the front side holds a single punch-hole design at the center with a 13MP selfie lens.
