New Knuckle gesture feature rolling out for Honor Play 4T along with September 2020 security patch

Honor has started sending a new software update for Honor Play 4T that offers a new feature and security patches for enhancing system security.

The latest update for the Honor Play 4T comes with Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.144 upgraded from 3.1.0.142.

This update brings a new knuckle gesture that allows the users to perform different tasks with a double-tap, slide, or drawing a shape on the display for screen recording, screenshot, split-screen and more as well as a security patch released in September 2020.

In the meantime time, Honor is working on Magic UI 4 and expanding its beta testing for more Honor devices. Till now, Honor 30 and V30 series received first, second, and third Magic UI 4 beta versions. Read more

  1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  2. The update will not erase any data.

HOW TO UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
