November 2020 security patch released for Honor 9X and 9X Pro

Honor is sending a new software update for the Honor 9X smartphone. This update comes with a security patch released in November 2020. The Honor 9X is the first device, which is getting the latest security patch, which improves the system security.

Honor 9X was initially launched with EMUI 9.1 and now running on EMUI 10.1 in China. Still, global users are waiting for EMUI 10.1 major update.

  • Honor 9X Pro

Version Details:

Honor 9X and 9X Pro grabbing EMUI 10.1 with version 10.1.0.110 updated from 10.1.0.109. This version is available for only Chinese users.

Update log:

This update installs the November 2020 security patch that fixes 4 critical, 15 high-levels of CVEs.

  1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  2. The update will not erase any data.

How to update Honor 9X Series:

Download via Settings:

  • Open settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app in your device
  • Go to Service tab
  • Click on update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
