Huawei releases new software update for Huawei P20, improves system stability

Huawei P20 users getting a new software update that brings improvements for system stability in certain scenarios to make your phone’s performance more stable. However, this software update doesn’t include a new security patch.

Previously, Huawei has released EMUI 10 major update 5-month late for global users as compared to Chinese users. However, the company didn’t roll out EMUI 10.1 for the Huawei P20 device.

EMUI 10 upgraded version:

  • EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.182 rolling out for Huawei P20 device in Europe with an update size of 537MB and it’s currently confirmed in the P20 variant and not for the Pro.

NOTE:

  1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  2. The update will not erase any data.

HOW TO UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
