Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro getting new system optimizations with new firmware update

Huawei has jumped into the wearables section and started releasing a new firmware update for the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro Chinese variant. However, this smartwatch is quite popular across the globe and helps the company to achieve a global status in the smartwatch market.

According to the information, Huawei has pushed a new firmware update for Watch GT 2 Pro that comes with version 11.0.5.32 upgrading from 11.0.4.28/11.0.4.38 and 11.0.5.22/11.0.5.28. This update brings new improvements for lock screen and system stability to provide an improved experience.

Will Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro receive HarmonyOS 2?

Earlier this month, Huawei has launched a brand new operating system, HarmonyOS 2, and simultaneously revealed the new Watch 3 series powered by HarmonyOS.

According to previous information, it was reported that Huawei Watch GT 2, GT 2e and GT 2 Pro smartwatches will receive HarmonyOS upgrades, which is surely a piece of good news.

We are sure that these above-mentioned smartwatches will get a HarmonyOS update that brings a new user interface and features. However, an official confirmation regarding HarmonyOS for smartwatches is yet to come. Until then stay tuned!

Notes:

  1. The update progress in the app is just for transferring the update package, it still needs to be installed on the watch for the update to complete.
  2. The watch needs to have at least a 20% battery to update.
  3. Make sure the Bluetooth connection is stable during the update. Try again if the update fails.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.
