Huawei has begun expanding its June 2021 security update to more devices in the global market. As such, the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition is also getting these latest security improvements.

As per the info, the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition users started receiving a new EMUI 10.0 version 10.0.0.481 upgraded from version 10.0.0.470. To be mentioned, this new software update carries a package size of 126MB.

The previous update for the P30 Lite New Edition users brought the support for Celia Voice assistant. In addition, it also added a bunch of new applications to optimize the user’s experience.

However, the new update just brings security improvements, other than adding any new changes or features to these devices. You can check the update instructions and notes below.

As per Huawei, the June 2021 update brings security enhancements making the devices more secure than before. It includes fixes for different levels of issues and exploits including 2 critical and 13 high levels of CVEs.

How to check for updates

Via Settings 

  • Open Settings
  • Click System & Updates
  • Then Open Software update
  • Tap Check for updates option
  • If a new update shows up, then click Download and install

Via Support app

  • Open Support app
  • Navigate to the Service tab
  • Click on the Update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If found any new update, then click Download and install

Note: After installation completes, reboot the device

Huawei P30 Lite New Edition:

Huawei P30 Lite New Edition sports a 6.15-inch FHD+ LCD display with 2312 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by Kirin 710 Octa-core processor and paired with 6GB of RAM along with 256GB storage.

The smartphone equips a triple rear camera with 48MP wide and lens (f/1.8 aperture), an 8MP (Ultra Wide Angle Lens), and a 2MP camera for the Bokeh effect. On the front, it has a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Furthermore, the device packs a 3340 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. In terms of software, it came pre-installed on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 and currently running on EMUI 10.0 version.
