20400 testers have been selected for first batch HarmonyOS 3.0 beta

Huawei has recently announced HarmonyOS 3.0 software update and began to register users for the first round of beta. A lot of Chinese Huawei consumers have registered to test HarmonyOS 3.0 but 20400 people have been selected for the first batch beta run.

According to the information, Huawei has selected 20400 people who have signed up for HarmonyOS 3.0 beta. The interesting fact is that the Chinese tech maker has only opened the closed beta recruitment for 200 slots for each eligible model. And these test version has been divided into two categories – the log version with low testing slots and nolog version with maximum testing slots.

After the launch on July 27, Huawei opened HarmonyOS 3.0 early adopter program for 14 devices + Huawei Watch 3 and 3 Pro. As for now, the selected users have started receiving HarmonyOS 3.0 beta build with version 3.0.0.83.

This new version of HarmonyOS will expand gradually among Huawei testers and comes with OTA downloadable package size.

Details reveal that HarmonyOS 3.0 testers are required to download the latest HarmonyOS 2.0 version to meet the eligibility. On the other hand, if you want to check the 14 eligible models, check the complete list here (link).

HarmonyOS 3.0 comes with various new features including new animations and performance improvements. Huawei has brought in some amazing capabilities for the super device with home screen sharing as well as other important optimizations for the consumers.

There are new tweaks and functionalities added to core features such as app snippets, home screen layout, large folders, service widgets, and more.

Currently, HarmonyOS 3.0 smartphone version is limited to the Chinese models but the tablet version will be accessible to the global market with the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 (2022) tablet.
