It’s a public beta rollout and a stable update is yet to come.

Original Story: June 5, 2021

Recently, Huawei has officially launched the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile operating system and initiated a stable rollout for a number of devices that can download this OS without participating in the beta activity.

The devices that are going to install HarmonyOS 2.0 in the first batch of rollout include Huawei Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series. However, these models have been part of HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta testing earlier.

According to the info, Huawei has begun the rollout of the first HarmonyOS 2.0 stable update. This update can be recognized with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.116 with an update package size of 398MB for beta testers and around 6GB for EMUI 11 users.

With this version, a switch to show service widget bars is added to the system. After enabling the service widget, a bar is added to the desktop under the application icons, where a service tool can be created.
