New Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta 3 software update comes with universal card upgrades

In December 2020, Huawei announced HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta program and at the same begun the recruitment of some flagships for beta testing in China.

Since then, Huawei is continuously expanding the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta activity and in April 2021, it entered the phase of public developer beta with 19 devices.

Earlier this month, the company has stepped foot into the second phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 public dev beta testing and open slots for Nova 6, Nova 7, and Nova 8 series smartphones.

For these testing devices, the Chinese tech giant is continuously releasing new beta software builds to test the HarmonyOS 2.0 features ahead of official rollout.

According to the latest news, Huawei has started to roll out the latest update of HarmomyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta 3, which can be found with test version 2.0.0.115 with an update package size of  385MB.

This update brings the universal card that has added a new switch to display the prompt bar setting to optimizes the display effect of the universal card.

How to display prompt bar (only for standard style home screen):

  • Open Setting
  • Click on Home Screen Wallpaper
  • Click on Home Screen Settings
  • Tap to Show Prompt Bar

HarmonyOS: last beta update

A few days ago, Huawei sent HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta version 2.0.110 and a packages size of 620MB. Its changelog reveals that this update has optimized the quick settings panel, fixes some issues with the home screen, and improves on-screen apps’ appearance.
