October 2020 update is rolling out for Honor 9X and 9X Pro

Honor is sending a new software update for Honor 9X and 9X Pro that installs the latest security patch released in October 2020. It improves system security and increases device performance.

Previously, the Honor 9X series received the September 2020 security patch with EMUI 10.0.0.238 version for global variants and EMUI 10.1.0.107 for Chinese users.

HONOR 9X SERIES UPDATE CHANGELOG:

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.

UPDATED SOFTWARE VERSION:

This latest update for the Honor 9X series comes with EMUI 10 version 10.1.0.109 from 10.1.0.107 in China.
