October 2020 EMUI/Magic UI security update details released

Huawei has released the EMUI 11 at HDC 2020 and its public beta program is also started for the Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series devices. However many devices are still receiving EMUI 11 first beta and some may have to wait a bit longer to get on the beta testing.

Meanwhile, Huawei has now released the patch details of the October 2020 EMUI update that will soon be available for many Huawei and honor devices. The security updates for Huawei devices include CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure) announced in the October 2020 Android security bulletin.

There are also some issues with the operating system, kernel, and driver updates that may not affect any particular features on the devices but need to be fixed through monthly updates.

October 2020 Security Patch details:

October 2020 security update install security patches fixes the different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phone including 21 high and 1 medium level of CVEs.

These new patches with fixes will soon start to reach to Huawei and Honor smartphones via EMUI/Magic UI OTA software updates.
