November 2020 security update released for Huawei Maimang 9, Enjoy 20 Pro 5G and Enjoy Z 5G

Huawei is continously recruiting its eligible devices for EMUI 11 beta testing and sending EMUI 11 betas as well as stable EMUI 11 version. The Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro 5G and Enjoy Z 5G both devices are eligible for EMUI 11 but, the company didn’t reveal any information regarding EMUI 11 beta process. Still, users are waiting to test the new EMUI 11 features.

Now, Huawei has begun sending the new software for Huawei Maimang 9, Enjoy 20 Pro 5G, and Enjoy Z 5G users. This update installs the security patch released in November 2020, which enhances the system security.

Yesterday, Huawei has officially released one more member of the Enjoy 20 family, Huawei Enjoy 20 SE along with Nova 8 series in China. The Enjoy 20 SE offers a 6.67 FHD+ display, Kirin 710A processor, EMUI 10.1, 13MP triple rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery supports 22.5W fast charging, and more.

New Version:

  • Huawei Maimang 9 users receiving EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.197 upgraded from 10.1.1.196.
  • Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro 5G and Enjoy Z 5G users receiving EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.198 upgraded from 10.1.1.197.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
