New multi-window mode and October security update released for Honor 20 Youth Edition

Honor has started releasing new software updates for Honor 20 Youth Edition users, which brings a new smart split-screen feature, multi-window mode that helps the user to two or more apps at a single screen and a security patch released in October 2020 that improves the system security.

Initially, Honor 20 Youth Edition launched with EMUI 9.1 and then directly received a major update of EMUI 10.1. This device is also eligible for EMUI 11, but it is no officially confirmed by the company yet.

New Version Details:

Honor 20 Youth Edition starts getting EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.150 upgraded from 10.1.0.147.

HOW TO UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.

NOTE:

  1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  2. The update will not erase any data.
