Honor Play 4T Pro grabbing October 2020 security update

Honor Play 4T Pro has begun getting a new software update that comes with a security patch released in October 2020 for better system security. This update brings the Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.106, which is updated from 3.1.0.106.

Recently, Honor has released the software update for Honor Play 4T that offers a new knuckle gesture feature and installs the September 2020 security patch that enhances the system security.

Aside from this, After the launch of Magic UI 4, Honor has started the Magic UI 4 beta testing program for its eligible devices. But, Honor Play 4T Pro will not receive Magic UI 4 major updates.

Changelog:

• Install the October 2020 security patch that fixes 21 high-levels and 1 medium level of CVE’s.

POINTS TO KNOW:

1. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
2. The update will not erase any data.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings
• Click on the System & updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

• Open the Support app on your device
• Go to the Service tab
• Click on the update button
• Tap on Check for update option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device
