Huawei will release fertile soil plan, accounts for 220 million USD within this year

During the keynote speech at Huawei Developer Cloud Conference 2021, Huawei Cloud BU and Consumer CBG President Zhang Pingan announced, Huawei will invest 220 million USD in Huawei Developer Program 2.0, sententiously it also releases the fertile soil plan within this year.

He informed, the company already invested 200 million USD in the cloud business and collaborated with about 2.4 million developers. Furthermore, the company owns more than 9,000 partner application and certificate solutions.

Adding to this, it has 120 Huawei Cloud Innovation Centers, and 24 Kunpeng/Shengteng Innovation Centers. During the speech, the president through the light on the following topics-

  • It’s the first time when Huawei is taking the initiative to work with hardware openness and partners. Kunpeng’s partner shipments record for 52% in last year, and for the next year the target is set for 80%.
  • Huawei will stand on the open-source route in software. In this equation, the openEuler operating system has 3000 open source partners, openGauss database, has 1200 open source partners, while the MindSpore full-scenario AI computing framework has 1500 open source partners.
  • For the last year, the Huawei Cloud partners’ revenue was 60% and the partners’ revenue will grow by 188%.
  • Huawei has worked with 72 universities in China, offering more than 1,000 courses, training more than 1,500 teachers.
  • Also, the company plans to deliver software development training to 3 million university developers in the next 5 years.

To be mentioned, Huawei Cloud IaaS ranks No. 2 in China and No. 5 in the world, making it the fastest-growing mainstream cloud vendor.

At last, he informed, the fertile soil plan will be released by this year which will accounts for 220 million US dollars in order to encourage developers.
