This month, Huawei has debuted the brand new smartwatch series – Huawei Watch 3, which is mainly designed to provide the whole new user’s experience over its predecessor. Additionally, to make user’s everyday life more convenient.

The Watch 3 series consisted of two models, Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro. Also, these were the first model that comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.

The pandemic makes the users more health-conscious, so Huawei added more advanced health monitoring features that can surely attract the users towards them. The features are skin temperature detection with the new high-precision temperature sensor, handwashing, fall detection, and more.

Now, users are surely thinking that these smartwatches definitely consume more battery because of the amout of consumption these features do with continuous health monitoring.

But Huawei doesn’t want the battey capacity to become a hurdle in the user experience. Therefore, the Watch 3 lineup equips the ultra-long battery life mode along with smart mode in the Watch 3 series for long-duration battery support.

Huawei Watch 3 can stay up to 3 days on smart mode, while 14 days in the ultra-long battery-saving model. On the other hand, Watch 3 Pro runs up to five days on smart mode and provides up to 21 days of long life in ultra-long battery life mode.

What happened after enabling Ultra-long Battery Life:

After enabling this feature, only some features will actively work but the mobile network, WLAN, and Assistant will be disabled because they take more power to run in the background.

How to enable Ultra-long Battery Life mode:

  • Press the up button of the watch to open app-list
  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Battery
  • Swipe up the screen
  • Enable Ultra-long Battery Life mode

How to disable Ultra-long Battery Life mode:

  • Swipe down the watch home screen
  • Tap Exit Ultra Power
  • Follow the instructions that appeared on the screen to exit the ultra battery mode
