On January 13, 2021, Huawei applied for a new patent – A recommended method of wireless charging parking space, which was published on May 25 with announcement number CN112840388A in China.

At present, the charging method for electric vehicles is wired and has many disadvantages that are inconvenient to use. With the advancement of technology, wireless charging based on fixed parking spaces is one of the most valuable charging technologies at the moment.

This patent method provides a method for recommending parking spaces with wireless charging, which aims to solve the problems of matching between wireless charging vehicles and parking spaces as well as selecting parking spaces.

The patent describes a wireless charging parking space recommendation method, which can be used for vehicles such as smart cars, new energy vehicles, and self-driving cars. When they enter the parking lot and report their own car information to the parking lot.

The parking lot server compared and matched vehicle information with the pre-stored unloaded charging parking space information. According to the vehicle size and parking space information such as the size and the installation location of the wireless charging device will comprehensively determine whether there are available charging spaces in the current parking lot.

The parking service selection is based on the calculation of the triple area of the charging transmitter, the vehicle receiving end in different parking spaces, the charging area of multiple charging sessions, and the planned route to each parking space.

If multiple available charging parking spaces are retrieved, then the best parking space is selected, and the route to the best parking space and the storage method is pushed to the car end.
