Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 Developer Beta 3 added three new applications with cross-device features

Back in September, Huawei has released in next version of its fully-own operating system, HarmonyOS 2.0 (Hongmeng OS) with new capabilities and changes as well as with extended platform support of more segment devices.

Following the launch, Huawei began HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta activity initially with Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro devices. After months of testing, the company has rolled out the first and second HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile beta for enrolled devices in China.

According to the latest news, Huawei has kicked off the third beta update of the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer preview. It mainly added three HarmonyOS applications including Youku, Sina News, and CCTV.

Additionally, this version also fixes the problem of inaccurate display of exercises and health steps as well as optimizes the experience of using the smart assistant.

The HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta 3 can be identified as version 2.0.0.53 (DEVC00E50R3P3) with a software package size of 526MB.

Coming to devices that support HarmonyOS 2.0 beta 3 are Mate X2, Mate40, Mate40E, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro+, Mate 30 4G, Mate 30 Pro 4G, Mate 30 5G, Mate 30 Pro 5G, Mate 30 RS Porsche Design, Mate 30E Pro 5G, MatePad Pro, MatePad Pro 5G, Huawei Smart Screen S, Huawei Smart Screen S Pro.

On the other hand, a HarmonyOS mobile developer beta tester recently shared his experience and mentioned that the Youku app can turn the smartphone into a remote control, control the tablet to play videos as well as convert the tablet into TV.

Additionally, the video function can also have the option to control the panoramic video viewing angle and camera position.

It allows you to play the exclusive perspective of your favorite star on your mobile phone while playing a variety of shows on the tablet as well as display background information, such as maps, ancient cultural knowledge, or background settings while playing a TV series.

Moreover, the HarmonyOS app as compared to the Android app has founded smaller in size like CCTV video app HarmonyOS version is only 1.35MB, but the Android version is 27.9MB, which is quite nice.
