Honor X10 smartphone has begun collecting the latest HarmonyOS security improvements released in March 2022. This update boosts system privacy and security by fixing several issues and threats in the HarmonyOS system.

As per the information, the Honor X10 smartphone user getting HarmonyOS 2.0.0.222 build version with March 2022 update. However, this update is a follow-up update to HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.221.

Models receiving update:

  • Honor X10 (TEL-AN00)
  • Honor X10 (TEL-AN00a)
  • Honor X10 (TEL-AN10)
  • Honor X10 (TEL-TN00)

The changelog reveals that this update doesn’t carry any other optimizations and improvements for the software system. But, the March 2022 security fixes a total of 35 CVEs belonging to different sections of the software.

Yes! it’s really impressive that the older and budget smartphones are getting the latest update first instead of flagships. This shows that Huawei is concerned about the system security of even older phones.

How to update:

To download the update manually, open the settings menu, then tap on system & updates, and software updates. Afterward, press the check for the update option. If you found the latest software update, hit the download and install button.

On the flip side, you can request the update through the My Huawei app. Open the My Huawei app, visit the update section, and follow-on screen instructions to download and install.

  • Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.
