HarmonyOS 2 stable update announced for Huawei Nova 6, Nova 7 and Nova 8 smartphones

Today, Huawei has officially announced the second batch of devices that are receiving a HarmonyOS 2.0 stable update. According to the information, these devices include Nova 8, Nova 7, Nova 6 smartphones, and MatePad 10.8 inch tablets.

Recently, Huawei has also confirmed to open the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta testing slots for old models – Huawei Mate 10, P20, and other smartphones in mid-July.

By installing the HarmonyOS 2 stable update, these device users can enjoy the new user interface and features offered by HarmonyOS 2.0 without participating in the beta program. However, a stable patch will also rollout for the existing HarmonyOS 2 beta testers.

First HarmonyOS stable:

On June 23, Huawei announced HarmonyOS 2.0 stable update for the first time for 18 top Huawei devices. It includes models from Huawei Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, MatePad Pro series, and Mate X2.

HarmonyOS 2.0 offers a brand new user interface including the new interactive home screen with resizable widgets. The new features of the HarmonyOS also deliver the all-in-one control panel, service center, super device, and much more to provide a next-level user experience.

HarmonyOS 2.0 closed beta for Huawei Smart Screen S series:

Aside from this, Huawei also began the recruitment of the latest Huawei Smart Screen V series devices for the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta testing program. However, it was revealed with the HarmonyOS system.

But, Huawei will test more HarmonyOS 2.0 features for the smart screens before rolling out them on large scale. As per the information, the company has opened 1000 beta slots in China.
