January 2022 security update goes live for Honor Tablet V6

Huawei is rolling out a HarmonyOS software update for Honor Tablet V6 that mainly installs the security patch released in January 2022. This update protects the device against threats by fixing various levels of exploits and issues.

New information reveals that January 2022 update for Honor Tablet V6 comes with HarmonyOS build version 2.0.0.225. This is the follow-up of the base HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.220 in China.

One thing worth mentioning, this update is rolling batches and may take some time to touch all Honor Tablet V6 users available in the market. But, we suggest you stay updated with the software update section on your device.

According to the changelog, this update improves the system security of the device by resolving a massive count of 130 CVEs found in the Kernel, framework, system, application, and third-party libraries.

HarmonyOS 3.0 beta to start in March:

Now, Huawei’s focus is again shifting towards the HarmonyOS 3.0 as inputs started hitting the market. New information reveals the closed beta testing of HarmonyOS 3.0 will began in March 2022.

HarmonyOS 3.0 beta testing allows the owners of the eligible devices to test the new features ahead of stable rollout. At the moment, the Chinese tech maker has not announced any information related to this subject.

How to update:

To upgrade over the latest HarmonyOS version, head toward the phone’s settings, tap on system & updates, tap on software updates followed by CHECK FOR UPDATES. Wait until the device is fetching the available update for your device. Afterward, download and install it.
