Honor Magic 2 began collecting January 2022 HarmonyOS update

Hey Honor Magic 2 user, Huawei has released a new HarmonyOS software update for you that brings January 2022 security improvements. However, this smartphone was launched in 2018 with Magic UI 2.0 operating system based Android 9.

Since the launch, Honor Magic 2 smartphone users have experienced Magic UI 3.0, Magic 3.1 followed by Magic UI 4 major version. Currently, the Magic 2 is running on Huawei’s self-developed – HarmonyOS 2.0 software system.

According to the information, the January 2022 update for Honor Magic 2 comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.220 upgraded from 2.0.0.210. Further, the changelog reveals that the latest update will enhance the security level and protect the device against threats.

Update Instruction:

To download the latest software update, you need to open the smartphone’s Settings > open System & updates > then press Software updates, from here tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES. Afterward, the system will check for available software rollout and bring them down to your phone.
