WhatsApp to bring light, dark action bar with Android 2.23.13.16/17

WhatsApp is rolling out two new beta update for testers, which includes new changes in the UI with version 2.23.13.16, and 2.23.13.17 to adapt the light and dark action bar.

WhatsApp is working on a light and dark action bar for a future update of the app. The light and dark action bar is achieving greater alignment with Material Design 3 principles. It is by transitioning to the light or dark color scheme, WhatsApp aligns its design more closely with the principles of Material Design, ensuring a consistent and revamped look.

This shift promotes familiarity for users accustomed to other apps that also align with these guidelines, and we think it will be definitely appreciated by users.

WhatsApp is currently testing both of these changes in the UI Android 2.23.13.16/2.23.13.17 versions. This development may come soon for all of WhatsApp users.
