Huawei surprises users with new EMUI 14.2 update, amid EMUI 14 beta rollout
EMUI 14 beta rollout continues to reach eligible devices while Huawei unexpectedly dropped a new software update – EMUI 14.2. The firmware is available specifically to those users who have already enrolled in the latest software testing activity.
The information reveals that the new Huawei EMUI 14.2 beta update is rolling out with the 14.2.0.138 version. It also carries a software package worth 528 Megabytes.
It is not the first time the tech giant introduced a sudden version amid ongoing beta activity. Last year, Huawei brought the EMUI 13.1 build version with refined UI customizations for global flagship devices amidst the EMUI 13 upgrade rollout.
Unlike the EMUI 13.1 or 14 version, the EMUI 14.2 has no major changes. It improves the system stability for beta devices, ensuring a seamless performance experience.

Further inputs reveal that the update distribution seems similar to the HarmonyOS 4.2 beta rollout in China, where the company unexpectedly announced the HarmonyOS 4.2 upgrade and initiated the testing activity for the top-end models.
Availability?
Huawei is releasing the new EMUI 14.2 beta software currently in Russia to a handful of beta testers. Although the company won’t take much time to bring the respective version in Europe and other regions worldwide.
We suggest keeping sufficient storage and battery backup to proceed with the installation without facing interruptions. Do not forget to take a backup beforehand.
EMUI 14 has already made its way to many devices like Mate X3, P60 Pro, Mate 50 Pro, and P50 Pro. The tech maker will soon bring it to more compatible models. For now, Huawei has nominated only 13 devices for this beta but we can expect more models to join this pool in the coming days.
