WhatsApp Official Channel and Notification feature coming
WhatsApp is testing two new capabilities for its users including the new WhatsApp official channel and channel notification. These features are currently under beta mode and may soon release for all of the users.

Official channel:
The WhatsApp official channel is a new version of the official chat room. This will keep you posted with all of the latest feature releases, security tips, and more. However, you can archive or block this channel anytime in your command.
Channel Notification:
WhatsApp is about to launch a new channel for users, which will allow them to broadcast a message. This functionality is different from chatrooms, as the owner or moderators can publish a message in the channel. Anyone can join the channel to stay updated with a specific channel.
Before that, WhatsApp is releasing a new feature for users and it will inform them that the channel feature is not available yet. This feature will trigger when someone sends you an invite link or the link to open a WhatsApp channel.
Test version:
The latest WhatsApp official channel is under test with WhatsApp Android beta version 2.23.15.10. On the other hand, the channel notification feature is under the beta pool with version 2.23.15.11.
