WhatsApp has officially launched Google’s Wear OS smartwatches in the global market. This release enables native support of this chat application directly for Wear OS wearables.

According to the information, the UI allows you to start a new chat. You can type in messages via screen keyboard or voice command. And also answer calls from your smartwatch.

The app is now available to download via Google Play Store for all of the Wear OS smartwatches.

It’s also reported that the WhatsApp smartwatch app lau for WearOS is now widely rolling out to all users with Wear OS 3 (and up) smartwatches. That includes devices such as Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch 4/5, and TicWatch Pro 5, as well as watches from Fossil and other brands. The app isn’t available to Wear OS 2 users, though, which leaves out legacy watches.
