However, the new software doesn’t roll out instantly as they are announced and requires testing to reach consumers. Therefore, Huawei began the HarmonyOS developer beta testing on December 16 in China for Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series devices.

Following the registration, Huawei began to send the first HarmonyOS developer software beta build for the recruited tester devices.

On April 21, Huawei expands HarmonyOS 2.0 developer open beta testing for the latest flagship models from Huawei Mate 40 series, Huawei Mate X2, Huawei Smart Screen S series, and more.

Huawei didn’t stop there because it has planned to release HarmonyOS for a huge number of devices. For this, the Chinese tech giant rolled out HarmonyOS 2.0 developer open beta phase two trials on Huawei Nova 6, Nova 7, and Nova 8 series smartphones as well as MatePad 10.8 tablet.

But since both of these activities limited, their reach will also be limited among the consumers. Hereafter, a question is how many peoples currently have access to HarmonyOS.

The tipster further added that since the beginning of the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta testing, over 300,000 ordinary consumers have registered to receive the HarmonyOS upgrade. This is a huge number and surely it’s not a normal one.

It’s been revealed that the first batch of HarmonyOS recipient includes top flagship that is:

  • Huwaei P40 series
