October 2020 security update rolling out for Honor 20 global users

Honor has begun releasing a new software update for Honor 20 users. This update mainly comes with a security patch released in October 2020 that enhances the system security and improves device performances by fixes the different levels of exploits and issues.

What’s New:

Honor 20 users grabbing Magic UI 3.1 version 10.1.0.256 with update size of 136MB and install the October 2020 security patch the fixes 21 high level and 1 medium level of CVE’s.

Aside from this, Honor is under development for Magic UI 4 beta testing and recently released the first Magic UI 4 beta version for Honor 20 registered users in China. Alongside this, the company has also kicked off the first stable Magic UI 4 version for the Honor 30 and V30 series. Know more

1.  This update is currently rolling out in India.
2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
3. The update will not erase any data

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings
• Click on the System & updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

• Open the Support app on your device
• Go to the Service tab
• Click on the update button
• Tap on Check for update option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device
