March 2021 security improvements released for Huawei Nova 8 Pro

Huawei has started rolling out the latest security update released for Nova 8 Pro smartphone. This update mainly installs the security patch released in March 2021 for improved system security.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high levels, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

Last week, the company delivered a software update for Nova 8 Pro device that brought optimizations for display interface as well as system stability to provide an improved user experience and boost overall device performance.

To be mentioned, Huawei Nova 8 SE also received this latest security patch at the end of last month. Now, 8 Pro installing this same update, and the rest device of this segment will get this update soon.

What’s New in this update:

Version: Huawei Nova 8 Pro smartphone getting EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.153 upgraded from 11.0.0.152

Security: Integrates the Android security patch released in March 2021.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high levels, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

Remember:

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
    EMUI version and size may vary.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device

HOW TO INSTALL:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
