Latest Huawei Mate X2 update brings touch sensitivity and system stability optimizations

Huawei Mate X2 is the latest foldable smartphone of Huawei, which launched with pre-installed EMUI 11, and currently, it is a part of HarmonyOS 2.0 public developer beta testing program.

Last month, Huawei added new 19 devices to the HarmonyOS 2.0 testing pool including Mate X2, models from Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, MatePad Pro, and Smart Screen S series.

According to the information, Huawei will launch the HarmonyOS 2.0 for the public in the next product launch conference, which is scheduled to happen on June 2. Previously, it was also reported that the first batch of large-scale process devices includes Mate X2, P40, and more.

Huawei Mate X2 smartphone general users are just a few weeks away from getting HarmonyOS 2.0 on their devices. In the meantime, Huawei has started sending a new EMUI version for this foldable phone that brings improvement to the system.

This update comes with optimizations for the screen touch sensitivity to sense the user touch faster in order to respond faster and system stability to run the smartphone more stable.

Huawei Mate X2 next-generation folding phone receiving the latest EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.165 SP2 upgrading from 11.0.0.165 SP1.

Note: This version adopts the membership service registration application method.

Key points to users before Update:

  • The device must have a better battery backup to install this update that is a minimum of 50%.
  • It’s compulsory to check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per its size required
  • A strong WiFi/mobile data connection is required for a buffer-free download of the package.

  1. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Software update
  4. Tap Check for Updates
  5. Download and Install
  6. Install

A new Huawei Mate 20 Lite update is rolling out for global users, which brings a fresh set of apps as well as security improvements for the device to keep it secure from unknown access.

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite smartphone owners can upgrade their devices to EMUI 10.0 version 10.0.0.285 (C432E12R1P1) with an update size of 441MB.

Changelog:

  • Apps: Added quick download shortcuts for the following apps: Petal Search, Books, Petal Maps, GameCenter Member Center, and Link Now.

According to the information, the July 2021 security patch has different levels of exploits and issues including 21 high and 28 medium levels of CVE to enhance the system security.

These 49 EMUI security issues fixed with July 2021 update

Huawei has just published the latest July 2021 security patch and reveals 49 new EMUI security issues that were fixed with this new security patch.

The fixed EMUI security issues will prevent Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures or CVE from harming user data or blocking any unverified access to the device.

To be mentioned, Huawei’s current days are very hectic because HarmonyOS 2.0 rollout is going on in China and also in preparation for the next flagship global product launch conference, which will be held on July 29. This caused Huawei to polish a late security bulletin.

But, Huawei has made full efforts in finding the EMUI security issues and resolve them with the July 2021 security patch.
