Huawei Mate 40 series was the annual flagship from the year 2020 launched with EMUI 11 Android-based OS skin. The Chinese tech giant always rolls out new features, software, or major update first for its premium devices.

At present, the biggest topic of Huawei is the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system, which is currently under developer beta testing before the public rollout of OTA update through stable channels. On the other hand, every Huawei device user is eagerly waiting to upgrade over it.

The HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with new animations, home screen decorations, resizable widgets, app transitions, camera app layout, quick setting panel, and much more exciting.

Talking about Huawei Mate 40 lineup phones, Huawei announced the HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta testing for these smartphones in April 2021 along with a bunch of more than 15 devices.

At present, Huawei Mate 40 series beta testers are still under the HarmonyOS test pool. However, the general consumer will able to experience the new features of HarmonyOS from June 2.
