May is here! while Huawei is still rolling out the April 2022 software update for both HarmonyOS and EMUI powered smartphone and tablet devices. The software update consists of new features, system security, stability, and other optimizations.

However, the security patch brings fixes for severe exploits and issues found in the corresponding software systems. Yes! the regular dispatch of monthly and quarterly software updates as per the device update cycle is mandatory and part of system maintenance.

After the installation of the latest update, the overall system stability and performance of the device will be enhanced. Further, it protects the device against threats and resolves the bugs, which can cause system lagging problems.

April 2022 EMUI security patch details:

The April 2022 EMUI security patch fixes several exploits and issues including 19 high and 9 medium levels CVEs for improved system security. Notably, there is no critical and low level of CVEs found in the software system.

April 2022 HarmonyOS security patch details:

Huawei brings fixes for a bunch of common vulnerabilities including 1 CVE in the framework, 1 CVE in the kernel, 1 CVE in the system, and 7 CVEs in applications. In addition to this, 39 CVEs were resolved in third-party libraries.
