Huawei Watch 3 temperature measurement and gesture feature firmware rolling out in the global market

At the starting of this month, Huawei hosted a new product launch conference, where it revealed the new HarmonyOS 2 operating system for users. Additionally, the company unveiled smart products including smartwatches, tablets, and more.

In the smartwatch segment, Huawei added two new members – Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro and these are the first to come pre-installed with HarmonyOS. After the initial launch, the company is continuously expanding its availability in more overseas markets.

Recently, Huawei officially made the Huawei Watch 3 available in the European market. Following the launch, the company has begun sending the first firmware update for these newly debuted smartwatches to enhance their performance and overall user experience.

According to the information, Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro starts receiving a new HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.155 (C432E155R1P155) in Germany. Also, it comes with a bunch of new features and optimizations as well as bring an update package of 234MB.

The new changelog contains skin temperature detection function, hand gesture recognition, support for more third-party apps, and more for users. Check the full changelog below.

Huawei Watch 3 series features a new and interesting design to make the wearable more comfortable and comes with HarmonyOS interface gives more opportunity. These smartwatches also provide a faster and smoother touch screen experience.

Talking about health features, the Watch 3 series comes with a whole health monitoring system with 100+ workout modes, skin temperature detection, Sp02, Sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and more.

Remember:

  • This update is rolling out in batches
  • The watch needs to have at least a 20% battery.
  • Make sure the connection is stable during the update.
  • Try again if the update fails.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.
