A few weeks ago, Huawei concluded the EMUI 11 rollout across the globe and started the beta testing of the new operating system HarmonyOS 2.0 for limited devices in China.

But, what about the rest of EMUI 11 eligible devices that are waiting for a long time to receive EMUI 11 major updates such as Nova 7i, P40 Lite, and more. On the other hand, Huawei has announced that it will shift over 300 million devices on HarmonyOS this year.

HarmonyOS: HarmonyOS is Huawei’s self-developed micro-kernel-based distributed operating system, which is mainly designed for Huawei devices to provide multi-platform support across all devices of all scenarios.

At the moment, the EMUI 11 eligible device users are very disappointed but now they have eyes on HarmonyOS and eagerly waiting for their turn. According to the info, the HarmonyOS 2.0 will officially launch on June 2 and at the same time, a large-scale adaption process will be started.

In the midst of HarmonyOS expectation, Huawei has released a new software update for Huawei Nova 7i users. This update mainly brings the security patch released in April 2021 powered by the Android security bulletin.

The security patch fixes different levels of exploits, issues, several new bugs and vulnerabilities found in the latest software build, and provides better system security.
