Last week, Huawei inducted two new smartphones in the Huawei Mate 40 series including the Huawei Mate 40E and a cheaper version of Mate 40 RS Porsche Design in China.

The Huawei Mate 40E is almost identical to the standard Mate 40 and comes with a hole punch display, 8GB of ram, triple-camera system but it’s powered by the Kirin 990E processor instead of Kirin 9000E in the vanilla Mate 40. This makes it more affordable compared to the Mate 40 phone.

Coming to the Mate 40 RS, the company has only made a slight change in its memory variant, which is now available in an 8GB variant in comparison to the 12GB that was announced and sold initially.

Aside from these two models, Huawei is keeping improving its main device lineup including Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and the Mate 40 RS with the latest software updates.

And now, the company is sending a new update for the Pro variants that improve their third-party app compatibility and installs new system optimizations for better performance.

What about the Mate 40? Earlier this month, Huawei had already sent a software upgrade for this smartphone that installed similar optimizations for the users.
