Huawei is rolling out a new step-up software update that brings Huawei Mate 20 series features improvements for the models running HarmonyOS 2 operating system. The below-mentioned Huawei Mate 20 devices with HarmonyOS check the update with software version 18.104.22.168 (C00EI59R2P6patch02) and 22.214.171.124 (C00E15R2P6).

Honor 30 and V30 series getting .168 update with new HarmonyOS features
HarmonyOS 2.0 version 188.8.131.52 rolling out for Honor 30 and Honor V30 series phones upgrading from 184.108.40.206. This firmware has new features and a number of better software improvements for various aspects of the software system.
According to the changelog, the latest .168 update for Honor 30 Pro, 30 Pro+, Honor V30, and V30 Pro smartphones comes with a new multi-camera mode that allows you to shoot photographs from different devices using various perspectives.
The update also improves the camera by fixes a certain watermark issue, there are fixes for control panel icons’ abnormal appearance. Furthermore, the .168 update package brings September 2021 security patches for the Honor 30 and V30 series devices.

How to update:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
However, there are a few things that you need to know before you proceed towards the update procedure. First, it’s recommended that you need to keep sufficient storage, keep an optimum battery level. Please wait while the update installs.
Home screen icon size customization feature rolling out for Huawei P40 (CN)
Huawei P40 series stands as one of the first devices that participated in the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta activity since December last year. These phones have received consecutive beta upgrades before HarmonyOS 2.0 stable update. On the other hand, their global siblings are still running EMUI 11 and awaiting their term to upgrade with the next major software rollout.
As for now, the Huawei P40 series getting a new software update in China. This Huawei 40 series update comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 18.104.22.168 and is currently initiated for the Huawei P40 5G model. Later on, it’ll expand to other P40 series devices.
Huawei P40 Icon Customization Update:
As per the changelog, the latest Huawei P40 series update installs a new Home Screen icon size customization feature. This feature will allow you to customize the size of the icons of the screen according to your preference from various aspects.

15 Huawei devices getting HarmonyOS .185/166/188 update, September 2021 security
HarmonyOS 2.0 version .185, 186, and 188 is rolling out for 15 Huawei devices that includes models from Nova, Enjoy, and Honor series. These phones are now eligible to get the latest Control Panel optimizations, features, system improvements as well as security patches released by the Chinese tech maker.
Currently, Huawei is busy delivering its software rollout schedule for the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. So far, the company has covered over 90 million smartphones in China and this number is growing rapidly. Simultaneously, the HarmonyOS maker is also fixing bugs that are disturbing the user experience and sending them via OTA updates.
Therefore, the eligible smartphone owners are now receiving incremental upgrades with improvements and bug fixes for different features to improve the user interface as well as corresponding affected parts of the software.

To be noted, some of these phones are still testing HarmonyOS 2.0 beta and they are receiving beta software builds. The rest of these has a stable HarmonyOS operating system.
HarmonyOS .185 and 186:
The above-mentioned first 12 models are receiving HarmonyOS 22.214.171.124/186 that brings optimizations for display including the Control Panel user interface and improves the system application experience. Furthermore, the update also installs security patches released in September 2021.
Some of these Honor and Huawei phones are receiving September 2021 security patches with the new password-safe feature. With the password safe, you don’t have to worry about remembering your account password, don’t worry about losing it, it can be filled automatically when you log in to the app, which is both safe and convenient (Settings>Security>Password Safe).
Furthermore, this software version also has the new service widgets for the Chinese applications as well as system stability improvements for better system performance.
Specifically, the Huawei Enjoy 10 Plus brings new multi-window additions. You can now swipe inward from both sides of the screen and then pause, call out the side application bar, long press, and drag the application to open the split-screen.
You just need to click on the application to open the floating window, watch the video, and play the game, you can use the floating Added reply to instant messages in the window, and can also quickly minimize the window and hide it to the floating ball icon.
Beta for Honor 10 and V10 and Enjoy 20:
Aside from this plenty of changes, the Honor 10 and V10 devices are catching their own share of HarmonyOS 2.0 beta that comes with version 126.96.36.199. The update package mainly has August 2021 security patches that fix several system issues.

On September 8, Huawei announced the sixth phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 beta for 9 Huawei and Honor phones. These models will now start their HarmonyOS 2.0 beta journey and will receive the beta updates.
