Honor released October 2020 security patch for Honor X10

Honor has begun to roll out a new software update for Honor X10 users. This update mainly brings the security patch released in October 2020, which improves the system security of the device.

This year, Honor has launched Honor X10, which initially runs on Magic UI 3.1. On the other hand, Honor is recruiting devices for Magic UI 4 beta testing. But, this is no official information on Magic UI 4 beta-testing for Honor X10.

Furthermore, Honor X10 is the first 5G phone from the entire X-series and powered by 7nm Kirin 820 SoC. Boosting performance up to 27% for CPU, GPU by 38%, NPU by 73% percent.

New Version:

Honor X10 users receiving Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.1.177 updated from 3.1.1.176 with an update size 236MB.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Honor phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.

How to update Honor X10:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
