December 2020 security patch released for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro (EMUI 10.1)

In December 2020, Huawei has concluded the EMUI 11 beta program for the Huawei P30 series by delivering the stable EMUI 11 version in China. However, the P30 global variants are still under-process of beta testing and receiving beta versions before stable rollout.

According to the global EMUI 11 official roadmap, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphone will get the stable EMUI 11 in March 2021 as scheduled.

In the meantime time, Huawei has kicked off a new software update for P30 and P30 Pro, which installs the security patch released in December 2020 that protects your device against threats.

  2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  3. The update will not erase any data.

HOW TO UPDATE P30 SERIES:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
