EMUI 11 is set to launch on September 10 at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2020. This new version of EMUI will be based on Android 11 and will bring a number of new features as well as changes to the user interface.

In the meantime, Huawei has now released the patch details of the August 2020 EMUI security update, which will soon start to rollout for Huawei and Honor devices.

The security updates for Huawei devices include CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) announced in the August 2020 Android security bulletin.

There are also issues with the operating system, kernel, and driver updates that may not affect any particular features on the devices but need to be fixed through monthly updates.

The August 2020 security patch from Huawei fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 21 high levels of CVEs. No Medium or low CVEs found in this month’s security forecast.
