April 2021 software update with new features rolling out for Honor Play 4T Pro

A new software update is released for Honor Play 4T Pro smartphone. This update comes with lots of new features that improve the user’s experience and very helpful for daily life.

According to the changelog, it added new popular recommendation folders on the desktop, quick download icons for some applications, and a smart messaging system.

We recommend these device users grab the latest update as soon as possible to take advantage of these new changes rollout by the compnay.

On the other hand, just like EMUI 11, Honor is also delivering Magic UI 4 major upgrades for its eligible devices. However, Play 4T Pro is not capable to run on Magic UI 4.

New Magic UI version:

  • Honor Play 4T Pro smartphone getting Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.117 upgraded from 3.1.0.112

Changelog:

  • Added New popular recommendation folders on the desktop to intelligently recommend popular selected applications for you.
  • Add quick download icons for applications such as Honor Mall, Honor Club, and Education Center. Click to download and use it directly.
  • Add Smart Information setting items, to bring you a richer SMS display method

Before you upgrade:

  1. We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
  2. Use a stable connection to download the update package.
  3. Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.

CHECK FOR UPDATE:

VIA SETTINGS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on System & updates
  3. Tap Software update
  4. Tap Check for Updates
  5. Download and Install
  6. Install and restart your device

ALTERNATIVELY, VIA SUPPORT:

  1. Open the Support app
  2. Go to the Service tab
  3. Tap on Update
  4. Download and Install
  5. Install and restart your phone
