BYD and Huawei cooperating on Hongmeng OS, autonomous driving and other smart car technologies

Recently, while being asked about whether BYD has cooperation with Huawei, BYD replied that the company is cooperating with Huawei in multiple business areas.

BYD said, it’s working with Huawei for Hongmeng OS (HarmonyOS) and whether there are new cars that could Huawei’s smart car technologies that will product development and application based on market demand and its own planning.

According to BYD’s previous track record, a total of 45,234 vehicles were sold in April 2021, compared to 31809 vehicles in the same period last year.

149,379 vehicles were sold from January to April, an increase of 60.48% year-on-year. 27,115 new energy vehicles were produced this month and 25,662 vehicles were sold, an increase of 110$ year-on-year.

Huawei’s AIM for 2022:

Huawei is taking further steps and plans to include more stores to promote smart car sales. As the report reveals, the company will add 200 experience stores by the end of July and in future, it’ll reach 1,000 stores.

Recently, Yu Chengdong (Richard Yu), CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, has set an aim to sell 300,000 cars by next year. In this line, the company has been joined hands with BYD, BAIC, Mercedes-Benz, and Changan Automobile.
