Stable EMUI 11 released for Huawei P40 series, rollout for global users to start soon

Following its release at HDC 2020, EMUI 11 recruitment opened for the Huawei P40 series and made available for a limited number of testers. However, Huawei didn’t delay in the expansion process and rolled out the beta program for more users in the Europe region.

In late October, Huawei sent EMUI 11 public beta for the Huawei P40 series. This update brought some new features and was the last update before the stable release.

Now, Huawei is rolling out a stable EMUI 11 update for the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ devices in China running EMUI 10.1 and existing EMUI 11 testers.

Stable EMUI 11 for global users?

According to the upgrade plan for Europe, the Huawei P40 series is projected to receive EMUI 11 by mid-December 2020. A stable rollout is also expected on the same date.

• Huawei P40
• Huawei P40 Pro
• Huawei P40 Pro+

VERSIONS:

Full OTA for EMUI 10.1 Users: Huawei P40 series users on EMUI 10.1 receiving a full OTA with EMUI version 11.0.0.145. Users required to be on EMUI 10.1.0.162.

Stable Patch for EMUI 11 Beta Testers: Existing EMUI 11 beta testers receiving a stable patch with version 11.0.0.145. The Beta testers should be on EMUI 11.0.0.126.

Note: The update is rolling out in batches for Chinese models.
