Rumored Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro specs sheet with Kirin chip surfaced online

Huawei is preparing to launch the next lineup of Nova series smartphones and recently, a rumored specs sheet of Huawei Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro appeared.

According to the sheet, the Huawei Nova 12 Pro is equipped with a Kirin 9000s chipset, which is also used in the Huawei Mate 60 series and Mate X5. However, we don’t have input about its frequency, which the company wants to enable for the smartphone.

The Pro model screen also supports a slightly curved screen with a punch hole along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Display protection is provided by the second generation of Kunlun Glass.

The camera section of the Pro version consists of a 50MP main camera with variable aperture, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 12 MP wide-angle macro camera. There are two front-facing 60MP selfie cameras with 4k video recording. The phone packs a 4900mAh battery, which could recharge with a 100W super fast charger.

The standard Huawei Nova 12 also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a flat-screen. This model features three rear cameras but unlike the Pro, it may not come with variable aperture capability. Speaking of which, the main camera could be 50MP along with 8MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide angle.

The standard version packs a 4800mAh battery that could recharge with 88W wired charging. These two phones support two-way satellite SMS communication technology.

New Kirin chip:

The biggest change in this year’s Nova series would be a transition to a Kirin from a Qualcomm chipset. Also, there’s a possibility that we’ll get to see a 5G connection in the new Nova series devices. Huawei could surprise us by bringing a new mid-range chipset for the standard Nova 12 smartphone, named Kirin 830.

The rumored specs sheets of Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro are based on past leaks and speculation. However, the company will surely provide new specifications for the next-gen Nova series and we’ll have to wait to see more of the official details on this matter.
