Huawei Global teases new-gen MatePad PaperMatte tablet
Huawei now teases its new products for the global launch and the list begins with a new-gen MatePad PaperMatte tablet. The company has recently shared a huge poster that doesn’t mention any major details but hints at impressive features.
The tech giant is readying a grand launch conference for May 07 where it will bring on the next generation of MateBook laptops, MatePad tablets, and wearables.
Speaking of the teaser, Huawei teases the front part of the new MatePad tablet on its global X page, showcasing its PaperMatte display solution and adding the caption:
“Prepare to be amazed by the next evolution in display technology, with the new-generation PaperMatte Display. Experience the reveal of the new #HUAWEIMatePad at the innovative launch event on 7 May. #CreationOfBeauty.”
Even though the company has not mentioned many details about the approaching tablet, the description says it all. Huawei has focused on the display segment of the new MatePad product and will ensure better visual effects for consumers.

What is PaperMatte Display?
Huawei seems to be using a better and upgraded PaperMatte display tech for its new tablet. The respective screen solution uses nano-level anti-glare etching tech which eliminates 97% of all light interference and offers a paper-like visual experience.
It also reduces the reflection so that you can read and watch videos on your tablet without putting much stress on your eyes. The solution is available for the MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte, while we may see it in a new avatar with the upcoming tablet.

The device uses a TFT LCD (IPS) display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 16.7 million color saturation. It also supports 100% sRGB with 2200 x 1440 pixels resolution and 229 PPI. The multi-touch screen supports a maximum of 10 touchpoints.
MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip with the HarmonyOS 3.1 software system. It carries 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. The tablet also sports a 13MP rear-side camera and an 8MP front-facing lens.
