Redmi 9A January 2022 update

February is about to end and Xiaomi is still sending the January 2022 Android security update for its device. In the latest development, Redmi 9A, 9i, and 9A Sport smartphones have started receiving a new software update that installs January 2022 security improvements.

This update fixes common vulnerabilities found in the latest software system and provides better system security. Currently, this update is rolling out for users in India and it is expected to expand soon in more regions.

As per the information, January 2022 firmware update for Redmi 9A/9i/9A Sport carries the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.22.0.QCDINXM. This update weighs around 2.6GB, which is a massive size. So, we suggest you download it using a WiFi connection.

Besides the security patch, we have not found any additional changes made to the system. But, you may note some minor improvements after upgrading to the latest MIUI 12 firmware version.
