PSA: EMUI 11 for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro rolling out after January 2021 security patch

Huawei P30 lineup is Huawei’s previous-gen flagship and consists of the most versatile models under P-series. It was launched in two variants, P30 and P30 Pro, and offers excellent hardware and software technology.

Aside from this, this series was initially packed with EMUI 9.1 and later received the EMUI 10 as well as EMUI 10.1 update. Moreover, these smartphones are eligible to install the latest EMUI 11.

In the second batch of EMUI 11 beta testing, Huawei enrolled the P30 and P30 Pro and deliver the beta version to experience the brand new features ahead of stable rollout. In December 2020, the company concluded the EMUI 11 activity by delivering a stable EMUI 11 version in China.

Aside from Chinese consumers, Huawei also entered the global market and began the registration of P30 and P30 Pro users for the latest custom OS beta program. Since December, the company is taking trials of EMUI 11 for selected P30 users. Read more

As recently, Huawei kicked off a new software update for P30 smartphones, which brings the security patch released in January 2021. This update fixes the different levels of exploit and issues that protect your device against threats. This patch was rolled out for China as well as global users.

According to the EMUI 11 official rollout roadmap, the global P30 smartphone users will get a stable EMUI 11 build in March 2021 as scheduled. After the official release, it may take some time to reach your respective devices.

We entered in March 2021, and following the current status, it seems the EMUI 11 stable version will be received by the P30 lineup users after installing January 2021 security update because EMUI 10.1 build number delivered along with the latest update will work as a base build number for getting EMUI 11 upgrades.
