Picture-in-Picture preview and Petal Search update starts rolling for the global units of Huawei P40 series

Huawei is rolling out an important update for the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, which adds a Picture-in-Picture preview frame in the viewfinder when the zoom level is set to 15x or higher. The update also adds the new Petal Search to these devices.

The picture-in-picture mode rolled out last month for the Chinese models and now started to expand for the global users. However, the Petal Search stands as a new feature and the P40 series is the first devices that receiving this new feature via a software update.

Petal Search – formerly known as Huawei Search, allows users to search for favorite apps, instant searches, daily weather, live sports, and newsfeeds. Aside from all in one result, users can also sort searches related to Videos, News, and Images categories.

VERSIONS:

Huawei P40 and P40 Pro receiving the latest camera feature and Petal Search with EMUI version 10.1.0.131 and the update size of 1.46GB size.
